What
is the BSA?
The BSA is a non-profit making association of the UK's leading suppliers
of wild bird care products. Our aim is to promote best practice
among Association Members to ensure that only safe and nutritious
products are supplied by them to our wild bird population.
How do we do this?
By liaising closely with
leading ornithological and scientific bodies, such as the
British Trust for Ornithology, we keep Association Members
fully up-to-date with all issues concerning wild birds to
ensure that consumers have the best and safest products and
the most accurate information. As part of this ongoing process,
we set Standards for the many food and other products that
are destined for consumption and use by our Wild Birds.
How do we make sure our Members are conforming
to these standards?
The standards, which Member Companies are required to meet,
are enforced by the BSA Standards Officer who makes random
checks on Members' products. Should any product not meet the
BSA's appropriate Standard, the Member concerned will be asked
to take immediate corrective action. Failure to do so will
result in termination of membership
and consequent removal of the BSA logo from all
the offending Member's products.

BSA Logo - your sign of safety and quality.
BSA
Members are committed to helping wild birds. By supplying
you with quality products and information that is sound, up-to-date
and accurate, we can help you take better care of your garden
birds.
Look out for the BSA logo whenever you buy bird foods, feeders,
bird tables or nest boxes.
